This disclosure is what is done with the spouse or significant others. This disclosure is a totally different format and serves a totally different purpose. Three types of disclosure are discussed:

• Factual disclosure is to break denial, lying and establish trust.
• Story disclosure is to get rid of shame.
• Validation disclosure is for the spouse to help her heal and validate her pain and damage. It is not addict focused. It is spouse and partner focused.
